The Poet Of Christmas Present

By Andy Sutton

I am the second poet, hark
For I was born this year
This present Christmas day will mark
My only one I fear

This my poem’s bland I know
No wisdom, love, nor fun
This festive verse is bland ho, ho
And random rhyming’s done

These solstice words are cheery chose
But merry sense it's not
In rhyme that snowman’s carrot nose
A manger child begot

A human would not write this worse
It's like I did not try
For this the present Christmas verse
Is written by A.I.

(No actual A.I. was exploited in the production of this poem)
