The Fancydress
Malicious hosts can encourage the Fancydress, but sometimes it is pure accident based on misunderstanding. This is the person who thinks that the party is fancy-dress, but in fact it is not. They usually arrive wrapped head to toe in bandages, enveloped in a Batman cape or in school uniform. Faced with the potential loss of face in this situation, the Fancydress has two options. The first is simply to find an excuse and leave early. The second is to pretend that they knew it was not fancy-dress, and claim that they came dressed up to liven things up a bit. Never laugh at a Fancydress because one day it will happen to you.
